MEETING WITH AMBASSADOR OF AUSTRALIA JOHN LANGTRY
On July 25, the President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga welcomed John Langtry, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of Australia to Mongolia, who paid courtesy call on the President.
Ambassador Mr. John Langtry presented the Governor-General of Australia Peter John Cosgrove’s congratulation letter to the President Battulga on his election of the President of Mongolia.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Australia, and the parties noted that the both countries have maintained good relations and cooperation, in particularly, in mining and education sectors. For instance, currently, there are over 2000 Mongolian students studying in Australia.
Also, they exchanged views on expanding the mutual relationship and cooperation between the both countries, by enhancing business partnership, implementing double tax agreement, and other ways.
