PRESIDENT BATTULGA RECEIVES AMBASSADOR OF REPUBLIC OF FRANCE TO MONGOLIA MS. ELISABETH BARSACQ
Ambassador of France to Mongolia Elisabeth Barsacq handed over an original copy of congratulatory letter from French President Emmanuel Macron to President Kh.Battulga.
The Ambassador called on the Mongolian President today, August 16 to discuss bilateral relationship and ways to strengthen it.
Ambassador Barsacq compared the present Ulaanbaatar with France in the early 1950s, saying it was too centralized.
The Ambassador talked about France’s experience of establishing satellite cities, and linked the capital city air pollution with the centralization.
President Kh.Battulga agreed with the Ambassador, saying that decentralization will help reduce the air pollution in Ulaanbaatar.
According to Ambassador Barsacq, advancement of bilateral agricultural cooperation is an area of focus for the Embassy, and there are real opportunities.
The President also stressed the significance of a Mongolia-France school project regarding which the Mongolian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education are holding talks with the Embassy, and expressed his readiness to strength political and business ties with France.
