PRESIDENT OF MONGOLIA WELCOMES UN RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE IN STATE PALACE
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received today Ms Beate Trankmann, the United Nations Resident Representative in Mongolia.
Representatives of the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Population Fund (UNFPA) and Development Programme (UNDP) were also present.
After extending gratitude to the UN Representative Office in Mongolia for consistent cooperation and active operations in Mongolian Since 1976, President Battulga expressed his interest in improving effectiveness of the cooperation. The President told the guests about the five priorities, including unemployment, poverty, environmental issues, children’s issues and air pollution, which should be stressed at first. Mr Beate Trankmann immediately expressed that she is in agreement.
UN Resident Representative Beate Trankmann pledged to have support for the initiative of bringing the ties to a new level where the results are more tangible and effective.
