ORDER OF SUKHBAATAR CONFERRED UPON UNION OF MONGOLIAN ARTISTS
On December 16, the Union of Mongolian Artists was awarded the Order of Sukhbaatar on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of inception and growth of contemporary fine arts in Mongolia. Chief of Staff of the Office of the President Z.Enkhbold presented the Order in the State Palace.
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga delivered a speech at the award ceremony. First of all, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate the milestone anniversary with fellow painters, artists and teachers.
“I personally came here today because I once belonged to this organization, worked, learned and gained experiences. The Union is inseparable part of my youthful memories. Please accept my warmest and deepest congratulations. I am truly delighted to see the faces of my dear friends, tutors and famous artists.
My profession is painting. It has been more than a decade since I entered politics. My success is also linked to my profession. I take pride in painters’ ability to see beyond the four walls surrounding us,” said the President.
The latter also highlighted artists and painters of Mongolia took active parts in initiating the democratic revolution of 1990’s and creating democracy in Mongolia.
The President called on the artists to attach more importance to establishing a National Academy of Fine Arts, promoting development of classical and national genres and disseminating conventional and contemporary fine arts knowledge.
