STATE TITLES CONFERRED TO HORSE TRAINERS
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a decree, basing on the proposal from the Committee on Organizing the National Festival – Naadam, on awarding the horse trainers who qualified for the respective titles with State Titles. The awardees are the horse trainers who claimed a great number of wins in national-level races thanks to their skillful training.
President said in his speech at the ceremony, “Happy Tsagaan Sar to all horse trainers who are playing an honorable role in passing down the great traditional cultural heritage to the next generations”.
“Conquering half of the world would have been impossible for the Mongols if it were not for the horses. Wise king Khubilai established an Equestrian Ministry in 1263, indicating the special importance attached to horses. The Equestrian Ministry made priceless contribution to strengthening the Mongolian army”, said the President.
The latter concluded his speech wishing “may the spirit of horses bless us forever. Happy Tsagaan Sar!”
