PRESIDENT BATTULGA CONGRATULATES RUSSIAN PRESIDENT ON HIS VICTORY
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga has sent a congratulatory letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin on his re-election.
The letter says, “I offer my hearty congratulations on your re-election as President. Your ‘ippon’ victory in the Presidential election is a clear reflection of your contribution to the national development of Russia and the trust the Russian people place on you.
I am confident that your presidency will take the friendly relations between our two countries, especially trade and commercial cooperation to a new level. I hope an opportunity will present itself soon for us to discuss the extensive bilateral cooperation.
I am pleased with the reaching of agreement on the terms of the Intergovernmental Agreement between Mongolia and Russia for Railway Transit Transportation, which is now ready for signing. We highly value your role in the development of the agreement, which will open a new page in bilateral cooperation.
The friendly relations between Mongolia and Russia have been historically tested on many occasions. The bilateral defense cooperation during the Khalkh Gol Battle, the Great Patriotic War and at the end of the World War II laid a firm ground for good neighbor relations.
I hope to continue to closely cooperate with you for the flourishment of Mongolia-Russia relations and strategic partnership and towards global and regional peace and stability. I wish you the best of luck and good health.”
