HEAD OF STATE MEETS PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN NURSULTAN NAZARBAYEV
On the sidelines of the 18th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga held bilateral talks with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev today in Qingdao, China.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Battulga extended his greetings for the upcoming birthday of President Nursultan Nazarbayev and complimented his efforts in the redevelopment work of Astana.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev talked about the unsatisfactory state of bilateral economic relations despite of geographic proximity between Kazakhstan and Mongolia, expressing Kazakhstan’s interest in boosting bilateral cooperation in this area.
The heads of state exchanged views on ways to achieve solid progress towards the intensification of bilateral economic cooperation. For instance, the sides agreed on the possibility of bilateral cooperation in exporting meat to countries with high consumption of mutton.
At the end of the meeting, President Nursultan Nazarbayev invited President Battulga to pay a visit to Kazakhstan at his convenience.
