CHIEF OF STAFF SENDS OFFICIAL LETTER TO MINISTER OF EDUCATION, CULTURE, SCIENCE, AND SPORT
A temporary committee of faculty and staff members of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS), the Trade Union of Mongolian Teachers, Union of Mongolian Teachers NGO, and Increasing Teachers’ Salary NGO sent a statement to President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga, expressing their disapproval of the appointment of J.Tsolmon as director of the MNUMS.
The statement requests attention on the matter of making no alterations to the composition and structure of the university until the director is appointed with an open selection procedure within September, 2018.
Authorities of the Office of the President viewed the statement, and Chief of Staff Z.Enkhbold sent an official letter regarding the appointment of the MNUMS director to Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sport Ts.Tsogzolmaa today.
In the official letter, Chief of Staff Z.Enkhbold cited a legal arrangement to “select the candidate for a vacant higher position in public service through open selection” and requested compliance with the law.
