MEETING WITH JEMAL INAISHVILI, PRESIDENT OF THE CONFEDERATION OF ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

An international forum themed Broadening Business Cooperation through the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) is taking place in Ulaanbaatar.

Today, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received and discussed regional economic affairs with Jemal Inaishvili, CACCI President, other top officials of the Confederation, and representatives of the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC), who are attending the forum.

President Battulga welcomed the guests into Mongolia and expressed his confidence that the business meetings being held in the margins of the visit of CACCI President Jemal Inaishvili to Mongolia will help businesses start mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.

Moreover, the President discussed the economic development in the Asia and the Pacific region and some sectors that can potentially diversify the Mongolian economy. In particular, President Battulga emphasized the excellent opportunities for starting and expanding business in agricultural, tourism, and high technological sectors, citing some benefits to business, such as the transit transport tariff discount from Russia and customs duty support from other countries.

The delegates of the CACCI and the SRCIC thanked President Battulga for addressing wide range of matters about Mongolia and its characteristics, saying that his advice and experience will influence future cooperation positively.

The delegates also expressed their willingness to work toward short-term success in the sectors mentioned by President Battulga and to consider his proposal to reflect on the unique characteristics of Mongolia during the forum.
