MEETING WITH MONGOLISTS
Under the auspices of the President of Mongolia, the fourth international scientific conference themed The Cultural Heritage of Mongolia: Collection of Manuscripts and Archival Documents is taking place in Ulaanbaatar on April 18-19, 2019.
Today, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received international Mongolists who came to attend the conference, co-organized by the Institute of History and Archaeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the International Association of Mongol Studies, and the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Battulga expressed gratitude to the Mongolists for co-organizing the fourth international scientific conference, where many important presentations are being discussed, and stressed his commitment to the promotion of Mongolian studies, as the President of Mongolia. President Battulga also appreciated the attendance of many Mongolists who are studying the history and culture of Mongolia in the conference and encouraged them to take active part in the celebration of the 800th anniversary of Karakorum City in 2020 and the 12th International Congress of Mongolists in 2021.
The conference is being attended by scholars from the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, the oldest institution of Mongolian studies, the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts, the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Saint Petersburg, the Institute of Mongolian, Buddhist, and Tibetan Studies in Ulan-Ude, and the Russian Museum of Ethnography.
