MEETING WITH DELEGATION OF THE RURAL DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga today received Hwang Kyusuk, Vice Administrator of the Rural Development Administration of the Republic of Korea, Im Hyugbaeg, Professor of the Korea University, and Choo Yongshik, Professor of Chung-Ang University.
The Rural Development Administration, the Young Entrepreneurs Council of the Mongolia, and the Mongolian University of Life Sciences co-organized a conference themed Introducing Smart Technology in Agriculture at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
Mr. Kyusuk briefed President Battulga on the outcome of the conference and bilateral cooperation and emphasized the existing opportunities of introducing new ideas and implementing new projects in the agriculture sector in Mongolia. According to Mr. Kyusuk, most of the projects aim to increase the efficiency of agriculture with the use of technology, and Korean agricultural specialists could provide consulting services as well as collaborate with Mongolia in this area.
President Battulga expressed his supportive stance towards the utilization of modern technology for increased agricultural efficiency, saying that Mongolia needed the expertise of international specialists in these spheres. Moreover, President Battulga spoke about the necessity to determine the structure of a consistent cooperation mechanism in order to train a younger generation of modern herders and wished the delegation success in their endeavors.
