PRESIDENT BATTULGA WELCOMES HIS RUSSIAN COUNTERPART
At the invitation of President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin arrived in Mongolia on an official visit on September 2.
Within the framework of the visit, the heads of state of Mongolia and Russia plan to hold official talks and attend a signing ceremony. President Battulga welcomed President Putin on the Sukhbaatar Square today.
The heads of state paid respect to the Military White Banner and made mutual introduction of the members of the official delegations of both sides.
The Russian delegation includes Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexey Gordeyev, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Russian part in the Mongolia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission, Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary for the President of Russia, Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy, Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development, Alexey Tsydenov, Head of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexander Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defense, and Iskander Azizov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia.
