MEETING WITH SIMONETTA SOMMARUGA, PRESIDENT OF THE SWISS CONFEDERATION
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga, who is attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, met President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga today.
The heads of state of Mongolia and Switzerland exchanged views on the state of climate change in Mongolia and discussed about preventing water scarcity and joining international coalitions that are working actively towards increasing specially protected areas. Furthermore, President Battulga expressed his readiness to support the initiative to increase the size of specially protected areas to 30 percent of territory by 2030 and expand the nature conservation projects that are being implemented by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Mongolia.
