Non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bhutan to Mongolia Vetsop Namgyel presented his Letter of Credence to President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh on June 17, 2024.

President Khurelsukh congratulated the Ambassador of Bhutan, also known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon, Vetsop Namgyel upon presenting his Letter of Credence. The President wished the Ambassador success in his new assignment, noting the auspicious timing as it coincides with the year of the dragon.

The Head of State of Mongolia emphasized that even though Mongolia and Bhutan are geographically distant, the two countries have the potential to expand and develop relations and cooperation in all sectors based on common values, such as rich heritage and culture.

Newly appointed Bhutanese Ambassador to Mongolia Vetsop Namgyel expressed his contentment with the honor of being the first ambassador to serve since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries 12 years ago.
