MEETING WITH RECEP TAYYIP ERDOĞAN, PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKIYE
President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh met President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
President Khurelsukh noted that Mongolia places high significance on its relations with Turkiye, a third neighbor, and a Comprehensive Strategic Partner country, and intends to deepen cooperation in all sectors of the economy and society and elevate its partnership.
President Erdoğan underscored that Mongolia and Turkiye have fraternal relations, and Turkiye aims at further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperating in all fields with Mongolia.
The two sides stated the high significance of state and high-level visits and talks between the two countries in expanding the relations and cooperation, and agreed to hold high-level visits and ceremonial celebrations commemorating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkiye.
In recent years, the trade turnover between Mongolia and Turkiye increased threefold, and the increasing number of regular direct flights between the two countries became an important impetus in strengthening the connection between the peoples and expanding the trade and economic relations.
