MEETING WITH ILHAM ALIYEV, PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN
On the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference /COP29/ in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh met with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on November 11, 2024.
At the meeting, President Khurelsukh congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on successfully holding a major United Nations event in his country and wished him success.
The Heads of State noted that the friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Azerbaijan are actively flourishing in the political sector and emphasized the need to further expand these relations in all sectors. In line with this, the two sides agreed to hold high-level visits between the two countries in the near future and strengthen the foundations of mutually beneficial cooperation.
The two sides discussed enriching bilateral relations with economic content, increasing investments, and developing tangible and effective cooperation in agriculture, transport and logistics, and education.
President Khurelsukh and President Aliyev discussed jointly contributing to the effort to overcome global challenges including climate change and desertification and exchanged views on some issues on international relations.
