President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh Concludes State Visit to the Republic of Tajikistan

President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa has concluded his State Visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. He was seen off at Dushanbe International Airport by Kholikzoda Khokim, First Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Tajikistan and D.Bayarkhuu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Tajikistan, along with accompanying officials.

During the visit, the Presidents of Mongolia and Tajikistan held a tête-à-tête meeting and official talks, during which they exchanged views on a wide range of issues concerning bilateral relations, as well as cooperation at the regional and international levels, and issued a Joint Statement.

The two sides also signed over ten documents aimed at reinforcing the legal framework for bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas such as agriculture, transport, energy, and tourism.

President U.Khurelsukh received a courtesy call from high-ranking officials of the Republic of Tajikistan, including Faizali Idrizoda, Chairman of the Lower House of Parliament and toured Rogun Hydropower Plant to observe its operations.

As part of the visit, the Mongolia–Tajikistan Business Forum, a joint cultural performance, and a morin khuur and photo exhibition were successfully organized under the auspices of the two Heads of State.

This first-ever State Visit by the President of Mongolia to the Republic of Tajikistan, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries in 1992 marks a milestone in elevating friendly ties and shaping the future direction of bilateral cooperation.
