DEPUTY PM OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION PAYS COURTESY CALL
Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia Yury P.Trutnev paid a courtesy call today on President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga. On April 26th, Mr. Trutnev met Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh and Deputy Premier U.Enkhtuvshin to discuss regional and bilateral cooperation of Mongolia and the Russian Federation.
Beginning the meeting, President Battulga thanked Mr.Trutnev for visiting Mongolia in these busy times when Russian cabinet is being formed, and highlighted the significance of his visit in deepening bilateral ties and economic cooperation.
The Russian Deputy Premier expressed gratitude for the President’s invitation. He shared his view that new advancements have been observed on a wider volume since the meeting of two Presidents carried out in Vladivostok, Russia in September 2017. One of the advancements were the completion of documentation on tariff alleviation for Mongolian freight transport passing through Russian territory for a period of 25 years, said Mr.Trutnev. The latter also expressed readiness to support Mongolia’s activities in Russia, especially, in the Far Eastern District on behalf of both the state and local administration.
The President of Mongolia put forward proposals on sending a working group comprising of members of Cabinet and Presidential Office and led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, and on appointing a permanent representative to the Federal district of Russia on the above-mentioned cooperation matters. He also shared his aspiration to intensify regional cooperation through high-level interactions.
The dignitaries exchanged views on broad range of opportunities of effective cooperation for regional economic growth.
