PRESIDENT MEETS STUDENTS OF THE 2018 SCHWARZMAN SCHOLARS PROGRAM
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received some master’s students, who are studying in the Schwarzman Scholars program, at their request today.
The Schwarzman Scholars at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, is one of the most selective programs in the world. In the 2018 Schwarzman Scholar program, a Mongolian student, who is a graduate of the National University of Mongolia, is included. At the meeting with President Battulga, 25 students of the 2018 program were present.
At the beginning of the meeting, the students thanked President Battulga for taking the time to meet them, and briefed him about their trips taken across Asian countries in scope of the program, during which they meet representatives of business, government and legislative body. Before coming to Mongolia, the students have met the International Monetary Fund’s Managing Director Christine Lagarde, then Vice Premier of the People’s Republic of China Liu Yandong and Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong.
The students asked questions mainly about the economic, investment and agricultural policy of Mongolia, and President Battulga gave elaborate answers.
At the end of the meeting, President Battulga wished success in their careers.
