PRESIDENT DEPARTS FOR THE ASEM SUMMIT AND THE WORLD INVESTMENT FORUM
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga has departed Mongolia to attend the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit in Belgium.

President Battulga and the Mongolian delegation will attend the 12th ASEM Summit, which will be held on October 18th-19th in Brussels, Belgium.
Under the theme “Europe and Asia: global partners for global challenges”, the Summit will discuss ways to strengthen trade, investment, and connectivity between the two continents to ensure sustainable development and overcome climate challenges.
President Battulga plans to deliver speeches at the opening ceremony and plenary sessions of the Summit and hold bilateral meetings with heads of state and government of ASEM partners, including Emmanuel Macron, President of France, Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, and Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Vietnam, as well as top officials of the European Union and the European Commission.

President Battulga will also attend the 2018 World Investment Forum, which will be held on October 22th-26th in Geneva, Switzerland.
During the World Investment Forum in Geneva, President Battulga will attend sessions and events such as the Global Investment Game Changers Summit, the Global Leaders Investment Summit, and an Investment Village and address the investment policy of the Government of Mongolia, the legal environment, and investment opportunities and conditions in the main economic sectors.
President Battulga is expected to hold meetings with authorities of the World Trade Organization, the International Trade Centre, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the International Olympic Committee and familiarize with the functions of the organizations.
