MEETING WITH VIKTOR ORBAN, PRIME MINISTER OF HUNGARY
On the sidelines of the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga met Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban on October 19th.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Battulga emphasized the progress of the works that were discussed during their meeting in Budapest last year and conveyed his gratitude toward the valuable support of Hungary in the renovation of Mongolia’s Biocombinate.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed his pleasure at meeting President Battulga again, saying that he was open to working with Mongolia in all viable sectors and intensifying bilateral cooperation.
President Battulga proposed and discussed some matters, including on building a film studio and a new eco-city in Mongolia, particularly about cooperating in urban water supply and establishing a museum for Attila. The President also thanked the Hungarian side for its support of the development of football in Mongolia, thus contributing to youth development.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban mentioned about 200 Mongolian students in Hungary who hold scholarships, while expressing his willingness to work towards increasing this number. The Prime Minister also suggested that the proposal on establishing a new city be discussed at a meeting of the two countries’ intergovernmental commission which will take place in Hungary next month.
The sides exchanged views on development of bilateral cooperation in multiple directions and mutual support in the international arena.
