The Geology and Mineral Resources of Mongolia is the first compilation work of materials containing geological studies on the territory of Mongolia by Mongolian geologists in the last 30-60 years. At a time of increasing investment into geological and mineral resources sectors, the books are intended to fulfill the needs of national and international geologists. The work serves as a handbook and reference to students of geology, given the inadequacy of textbooks written in Mongolian on this subject. Not only will this work help accelerate regional and national development, it is also highly important in promoting Mongolia abroad and strengthening Mongolia’s independence.
Moreover, the work engaged more than 50 scholars and geologists representing the Institute of Geology-Mineral Resources and Center of Paleontology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the National University of Mongolia, the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, and the private sector.
