THE STATE VISIT OF THE KING OF BHUTAN CONCLUDES
The State Visit by His Majesty the King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck to Mongolia at the invitation of the President of Mongolia concluded on July 15, 2024.
Foreign Minister of Mongolia Batmunkh Battsetseg and other officials saw off the Royal Family of the Kingdom of Bhutan and the Bhutanese delegation at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport.
During the State Visit, the two Heads of State issued a Joint Statement between Mongolia and the Kingdom of Bhutan and agreed to enrich bilateral relations and cooperation with economic content and to make real progress in priority areas such as agriculture, health, culture, education, and tourism.
Mongolia considers the Kingdom of Bhutan an important partner in South Asia under its policy of active participation in multilateral cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
This State Visit was of historical importance for assessing the current cooperation between the two countries, identifying prospects, deepening Mongolia-Bhutan relations and cooperation, and strengthening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
