President of the Kyrgyz Republic Officially Welcomes President of Mongolia

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov officially welcomed President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, who is paying a State Visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, at the “Yntymak Ordo” Presidential Palace.

During the welcoming ceremony, the national flags of the two countries were raised in front of the State Palace. The Commander of the National Guard of Honor saluted the President of Mongolia, and national anthems of the two countries were played. The Heads of State will sign intergovernmental and interagency documents aimed at expanding and developing bilateral relations and cooperation after holding official talks. The “Yntymak Ordo,” which opened last year, combines Kyrgyz culture with modern architecture, symbolizing the country’s rich cultural heritage as well as commitment toward modern development.

Mongolia and the Kyrgyz Republic established diplomatic relations in 1992. The Kyrgyz Republic has a population of 7 million. The President of the Kyrgyz Republic is elected by popular vote for a single six-year term, and President S. Japarov has held office since the extraordinary election held in 2021.

The main sectors of Kyrgyzstan’s economy are agriculture, mining, light and food industries, energy, and textiles. The volume of foreign trade amounts to USD 16 billion. The country primarily exports gold, agricultural raw materials, iron, glass, coal, and cement, while importing passenger vehicles, petroleum, natural gas, machinery, and chemical products.
