On August 4, Chief of Staff of the President of Mongolia Z.Enkhbold has delivered an official letter on cooperation on offshore account with the international organizations to the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n
Official letter stated: \u201cThe President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga is working on returning illegal assets from offshore account and reducing credit stress.<\/p>\n
In the scope of this initiative, we are planning to cooperate with the international organizations and projects including the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development \/OECD\/, the Global Forum of Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, and Base Erosion and Profit Shifting.<\/p>\n
These organizations have already suggested Mongolia to become their member in 2012 and in 2016. In the scope of the President\u2019s initiative against offshore account, to study opportunities for Mongolia to joining the above mentioned organizations and projects.
