On August 3, the President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga welcomed Catherine Arnold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia.<\/p>\n
President Battulga noted that the United Kingdom is the first western country to recognize the independence of Mongolia, and said that the both counties established diplomatic relations in 1963.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Ms. Catherine Arnold expressed the UK\u2019s interest to invest in Mongolia and noted that the both countries have ample opportunities for cooperation not only in mining sector, but in agriculture and tourism spheres.
