{"id":3836,"slug":"president-views-exhibition-of-childrens-paintings-and-letters","status":"publish","tags":[],"title":{"rendered":"PRESIDENT VIEWS EXHIBITION OF CHILDREN\u2019S PAINTINGS AND LETTERS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the occasion of Children\u2019s Day, June 1st, an exhibition of children\u2019s painting and writing opened at the State History Museum in the State Palace. President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga visited the exhibition and congratulated the child artists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The exhibited works were collected under a children\u2019s campaign named \u2018My message to the President\u2019, co-organized by the President\u2019s Office, Good Neighbors Mongolia international non-government organization and the Mongolian Association of School Social Workers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Organized between May 15th and 25th, the campaign brought together children of age 6-18, studying in over 180 schools across the country, who sent 10,516 letters and 1,268 paintings to the President. More than 100 select works were on display at the said exhibition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While interacting with President Battulga, children interpreted the meaning of their works, which reflect their ideas, dreams and creativity to dedicate to this country. President Battulga said, \u201cChildren make up 34 percent of the population of Mongolia. Therefore, we have an independent law in force to protect children\u2019s rights in this country. In order to better implement this law, ensure children\u2019s freedom of speech, and make sure that Mongolian children are heard, we organized this campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within the campaign, Mongolian children sent a total of 11,784 letters and paintings to the President.
