{"id":3939,"slug":"russian-minister-of-transport-pays-courtesy-call-on-president","status":"publish","tags":[],"title":{"rendered":"RUSSIAN MINISTER OF TRANSPORT PAYS COURTESY CALL ON PRESIDENT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga today received Russian delegates led by Minister of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich and Aide to President Igor Yevgeniyevich Levitin, who are visiting Mongolia in the scope of the \u2018Mongolian-Russian Initiative \u2013 2018\u2019 series of events, being organized under the auspices of the Presidents of Mongolia and Russia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was held shortly after the signing of Agreement on Transit Transport by Railway between the Governments of Mongolia and Russia, and Mr. Yevgeny Dietrich thanked President Battulga for his contribution in the successful establishment of the Agreement, which was on agenda for many years. This is his first foreign visit since appointment. According to the Minister, there are six million people working in the transport sector of Russia, contributing USD 17 billion to the economy, which constitutes one third of the country\u2019s total export. The Minister spoke about Russian President Vladimir Putin\u2019s policy aimed at doubling the country\u2019s transport sector revenue by 2024, expressing his confidence that the policy and further activities towards this goal will benefit Mongolia through the Agreement on Transit Transport by Railway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Battulga congratulated Mr. Yevgeny Dietrich on signing an agreement that was delayed for many years, therefore advancing bilateral transport cooperation on his first foreign visit.
