“Distinguished guests, friends, and business leaders, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ladies and gentlemen, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is my esteemed pleasure to visit India – our longstanding, friendly\n\u201cspiritual neighbor\u201d, and welcome all the businesspeople attending the\nMongolia-India Business Meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

India is our significant political and economic \u201cthird neighbor\u201d. Four\nyears have passed since our relations reached the level of Strategic Partnership.\nI am pleased to highlight that my visit to India provides the possibilities to further\nbroadening and strengthening of bilateral relations in all sectors, including\nfurther deepening of trade and economic cooperation. Mongolia is keen to\nfurther broaden and deepen our economic ties with the 7th largest economy in\nthe world.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ladies and gentlemen, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role of businesses, your joint efforts and cooperation are crucially\nimportant for expanding trade and economic relations between the two countries.\nI am pleased to see that the businesspeople of our two countries have\nestablished and expanded their cooperation in processing, agriculture,\ninformation technology, healthcare, traditional medicine, mining, energy and\nother fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit of\nPrime Minister Modi to Mongolia, India extended $1 billion soft loan credit line, thus commencing the construction of the oil\nrefinery. At this time, our side is concluding the construction of roads,\nrailways and power lines.\nTherefore, this project provides\nmany new opportunities for Mongolian and Indian entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India has rich experience in the production of information technology\nand software industry. Given the fact that the population in both Mongolia and\nIndia is becoming younger, and the world is becoming more digitalized,\ncooperation in the field of information technology also represents another\npotential area of cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aiming to create conducive and\nfavourable legal basis to promote bilateral trade and economic environment, both\nsides are discussing updating of an Investment Agreement and amendments to an Agreement on Double Taxation signed in 1994.\nI believe that these issues will be finalized soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distinguished business leaders,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is enormous potential in the economic and trade cooperation of our\ntwo countries that cannot be sought elsewhere. Therefore, our efforts are\nimportant in identifying and pursuing this potential. On the other side, we do\nunderstand that there are certain difficulties and challenges in developing\neconomic and trade cooperation between our two countries. Nonetheless, there is\na way if you want, while there is always an excuse if you don\u2019t want. Let us\nmove forward together for prosperity of Mongolia and India, fully utilizing the\npotentials in bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
