President Ram Nath Kovind wished President Battulga a pleasant stay in India and expressed his confidence that the latter\u2019s visit would make contribution to the close relations between the two countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Mongolia and India established diplomatic relations on December 24, 1955, and the heads of state noted with mutual agreement that the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations, which will fall next year, should be celebrated in a ceremonial and productive manner. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_02-27-46-1-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6228\" srcset=\"https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_02-27-46-1-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_02-27-46-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_02-27-46-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_02-27-46-1.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the sides discussed the possibility of cooperating in areas related to Buddhism, as the two countries share Buddhist heritage and close bonds despite of geographic location, especially in terms of rendering every possible support to the digitization and wide publicization of ancient scriptures kept in the Gandantegchenling Monastery, the center of Mongolian Buddhism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside\nfrom religious exchange, the sides agreed on the viability of bilateral\ncooperation in spheres that are growingly becoming economically beneficial such\nas space science, digitalization, and cyber security, and broadening the\nexisting ties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, President Ram Nath Kovind expressed his confidence that the oil refinery construction will be completed on time and become a symbol of bilateral cooperation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>President\nBattulga: <\/strong><\/em><em>Apart\nfrom oil, we can also develop cooperation in freight and passenger transport<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_03-05-21-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_03-05-21-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_03-05-21-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_03-05-21-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/viber_image_2019-09-21_03-05-21.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During\nhis call on President Battulga, Vice President and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha\nVenkaiah Naidu also discussed the Oil Refinery Project in detail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During\nthe meeting, President Battulga said that he had reached understanding with\nPrime Minister Narendra Modi on the matter of building rail lines rather than\npipelines and expressed his view that the construction of rail lines would be\nmore fruitful as it would not be limited by oil and enable freight and\npassenger transport services.
