You, servicemen, are an integral part of Mongolia\u2019s national security and the \u2018multi-pillar\u2019 foreign policy. The security of your homeland is solidified by each day you fulfill your duties with success\u201d, the President said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Situation reports on the respective peacekeeping operations were given by Colonel D.Enkhbaatar, commander of the contingent in the UNMISS in South Sudan, Lieutenant Colonel M.Tuvshinjargal, commander of the contingent in the Decisive Support operation in Afghanistan and Lieutenant Colonel G.Amartuvshin, commander of the contingent in joint operation with Germany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/150757643_123319823024408_5465151433827031467_n-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7095\" srcset=\"https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/150757643_123319823024408_5465151433827031467_n-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/150757643_123319823024408_5465151433827031467_n-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/150757643_123319823024408_5465151433827031467_n-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/150757643_123319823024408_5465151433827031467_n.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>According to the\noverall report delivered by Major General D.Ganzorig, the Chief of the General\nStaff of the Armed Forces:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Contingents from the Mongolian Armed Forces have\nbeen serving for peace since 2002 in 12 countries and regions, namely, Iraq,\nAfghanistan, Georgia, Kosovo, Eritrea-Ethiopia, Chad, Western Sahara, the Democratic\nRepublic of the Congo, Darfur, Sudan, the Republic of South Sudan, Abyei,\nSudan, and the Republic of Yemen. <\/li><li>As of February 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2021, a total of\n19,300 military personnel, including more than 700 women, have served in\npeacekeeping operations. <\/li><li>With over 700 women officers served as staff\nofficers, military observers and contingent personnel in the UNMISS operations\nsince 2006, Mongolia ranks 17<sup>th<\/sup> among 126 countries. <\/li><li>As of February 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2021, a total of\n1,116 servicemen are on active duty in seven operations. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/151294663_423979335362548_2435008693329202013_n-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7096\" srcset=\"https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/151294663_423979335362548_2435008693329202013_n-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/151294663_423979335362548_2435008693329202013_n-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/151294663_423979335362548_2435008693329202013_n-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/president.mn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/151294663_423979335362548_2435008693329202013_n.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"date":"2021-02-16T21:04:28","excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0President of Mongolia and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Khaltmaagiin Battulga met through a video conference with the Mongolian military personnel serving in peacekeeping operations in the Republic of South Sudan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
