Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, along with the\u00a0First Lady Luvsandorj Bolortsetseg held an official meeting with His Majesty Emperor Naruhito and Her Majesty Empress Masako of Japan on July 8, 2025, at the State Palace.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">At the outset of the meeting, President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa highlighted the historic significance of Their Majesties\u2019 State Visit\u2014the first-ever visit by the Emperor and Empress of Japan to Mongolia. The President expressed\u00a0his\u00a0confidence that this visit will be etched in golden letters in the history of Mongolia-Japan relations, based on shared values and mutual trust,\u00a0underscoring\u00a0its\u00a0importance in further deepening the \u201cpeople-centered\u201d \u201cSpecial Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity\u00a0between Mongolia and Japan,\u00a0and in strengthening the enduring friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples\u00a0of the two countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">President Khurelsukh emphasized that the State, Government, and people of Mongolia deeply appreciate and are sincerely grateful for the unwavering and heartfelt support provided by the Government and people of Japan in consolidating democracy, fostering sustainable social and economic development, and enhancing human resource capacity in Mongolia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The President of Mongolia underscored that the people of Mongolia warmly welcome the participation of Their Majesties in the National Naadam Festival, a\u00a0cultural heritage of humanity and a\u00a0symbol of the\u00a0unity and independence\u00a0of\u00a0Mongolian people, as Honored\u00a0Guests during\u00a0the\u00a0State Visit to\u00a0Mongolia \u2014a land of eternal blue sky and ancient history.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">His Majesty Emperor Naruhito expressed heartfelt gratitude\u00a0for the warm hospitality extended by the State, Government, and people of Mongolia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">His Majesty fondly recalled his 2007 visit to Mongolia as Crown Prince of Japan,\u00a0during which he was warmly\u00a0welcomed by the State, Government and people of Mongolia,\u00a0and\u00a0expressed\u00a0his\u00a0great\u00a0delight\u00a0in returning\u00a0to Mongolia\u00a0on a State Visit\u00a0\u2014\u00a0this time\u00a0accompanied by\u00a0Her Majesty Empress Masako\u00a0\u2014to\u00a0experience\u00a0and closely engage with\u00a0the beautiful nature, history, culture, and traditions of the country and its people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">During the meeting, the parties expressed their\u00a0satisfaction with the effective progress in implementing the \u201cAction Plan\u201d, a\u00a0ten-year\u00a0roadmap for\u00a0advancing the\u00a0Mongolia\u2013Japan Special Strategic Partnership\u00a0and noted the importance of expanding people-centered cooperation\u00a0in\u00a0all areas, including fostering friendship and mutual understanding among children and youth \u2014 the future generations of the two countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa reiterated Mongolia\u2019s commitment to working together with Japan, a close and trusted partner, to address global challenges and to contribute jointly to the\u00a0peace, stability,\u00a0and prosperity both in the region and globally. The President of Mongolia expressed appreciation for Japan\u2019s\u00a0steadfast and concrete\u00a0support for Mongolia\u2019s \u201cBillions of Trees\u201d National Movement to combat climate change and desertification,\u00a0including providing training opportunities for Mongolian youth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">President H.E. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and His Majesty Emperor Naruhito emphasized the profound importance of compassionately respecting, valuing, and protecting our planet, Earth, and the environment, underscoring the need to cherish and safeguard water\u2014the \u201cprecious jewel Chandmani\u201d of the natural world\u2014and to use its benefits responsibly.
