\u00a0President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa has arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan on July 24, 2025, with a State Visit.<\/p>\n

President\u00a0Khurelsukh\u00a0was welcomed at Dushanbe International Airport by\u00a0the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Hokim Kholiqzoda,\u00a0non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Turkmenistan, Bayarkhuu Dorj.<\/p>\n

The two sides view the State Visit as a significant impetus to expanding Mongolia\u2019s friendly relations with Central Asian countries, particularly the Republic of Tajikistan, enriching cooperation with economic content, and strengthening friendship between the peoples.<\/p>\n

President Khurelsukh and President Emomali Rahmon are scheduled to hold a t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate\u00a0and official talks, and issue a Joint Statement on Developing Friendly Relations and Comprehensive Cooperation between Mongolia and the Republic of Tajikistan.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the two countries are expected to sign documents related to the development of bilateral relations and cooperation. President Khurelsukh will also meet with the Speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, the\u00a0<\/b>Lower Chamber\u2019s Parliament\u00a0<\/b>of the Republic of Tajikistan, to exchange views on cooperation.<\/p>\n

A Business Forum and a cultural performance will be held under the auspices of the Heads of State of the two countries.<\/p>\n

Mongolia and the Republic of Tajikistan established diplomatic relations in 1992, and this marks the first-ever State Visit to Tajikistan by a President of Mongolia.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival in Dushanbe, President Khurelsukh paid tribute and laid a wreath at the Monument of Ismoil Somoni, a symbol of Tajik history and culture.<\/p>\n

The people of the Republic of Tajikistan highly revere Ismoil Somoni, the first emir of the Samanid dynasty, who left a lasting legacy in Tajik statehood.<\/p>\n

A 13-meter-high monument has been built in his honor, along with a museum replicating the Ismail Samanid Mausoleum built in Bukhara in the 9th\u201310th centuries.<\/p>\n

The bronze lions flanking the monument symbolize national unity, peace, and stability.<\/p>\n

In accordance with the official state protocol, heads of state and distinguished guests visiting the Republic of Tajikistan lay wreaths at the monument to pay tribute.<\/p>\n
