President Khurelsukh reaffirmed that India is Mongolia\u2019s \u201cthird neighbor\u201d and a spiritual and strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific region, and expressed the commitment to deepening the Strategic Partnership and expanding bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the historical significance of the visit, which coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, noting that the visit would further strengthen the\u00a0friendly ties\u00a0between the peoples and enhance the Strategic Partnership.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">President Khurelsukh recalled Prime Minister Modi\u2019s first official visit to Mongolia in 2015, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations, which marked a new chapter in bilateral relations between Mongolia and India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The achievements of the past 70 years were reviewed, and\u00a0both sides expressed a\u00a0shared commitment to deepen bilateral relations through new initiatives. Cooperation will be expanded across all sectors, with major economic projects to be jointly undertaken.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Mongolia\u2019s long-term development policy, \u201c<b><strong>Vision 2050<\/strong><\/b>,\u201d will be aligned with India\u2019s national development strategy, \u201c<b><strong>Viksit Bharat 2047<\/strong><\/b>,\u201d to strengthen cooperation in fields of economy, trade, agriculture, energy, minerals, green development, culture, education, and tourism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">President Khurelsukh emphasized the strategic\u00a0significance\u00a0of the\u00a0<b><strong>Oil Refinery project<\/strong><\/b>, describing it as a symbol of bilateral cooperation and a vital contributor to Mongolia\u2019s economic security and development. The President also expressed\u00a0sincere\u00a0gratitude to\u00a0the Government of\u00a0India for its continued support.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">To\u00a0promote mutually beneficial\u00a0economic cooperation, both sides agreed to expand\u00a0transport and logistics connectivity,\u00a0including\u00a0through\u00a0the use of third-country ports and transport corridors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa noted with confidence that charter flights by a Mongolian airline to Delhi and Amritsar will promote people-to-people exchanges and boost tourism between Mongolia and India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The President also underscored the importance of the Mongolia-India Business Forum, held during the visit, in strengthening ties among entrepreneurs and fostering long-term trade and economic cooperation through private sector partnerships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Prime Minister Modi announced that India will offer 70 new scholarships to Mongolian students for the 2025-2026 academic year under the Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme, in honor of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">President Khurelsukh emphasized that cooperation in education serves as a strong bridge between the two countries, praising the \u201cIndia-Mongolia Friendship Secondary School\u201d as an important institution for nurturing highly skilled future professionals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The President\u00a0also\u00a0expressed confidence that\u00a0the \u201cBeautiful Country of Mongolia\u201d concert, being held for the first time in Delhi, would\u00a0strengthen\u00a0mutual trust and cultural understanding. Both sides agreed to deepen collaboration in culture, the arts, and humanitarian initiatives,\u00a0and\u00a0promote exchanges\u00a0in education, sports, and youth involvement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in regional and international arenas, including within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">As part of the visit, President Khurelsukh and Prime Minister Modi\u00a0planted trees, aligning\u00a0Mongolia\u2019s \u201c<b><strong>Billions of Trees<\/strong><\/b>\u201d movement and India\u2019s \u201c<b><strong>One Tree for Mother\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>initiative, symbolizing their shared commitment to combating climate change and protecting the environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The talks concluded with the issuance of a Joint Statement on Strengthening the Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and the Republic of India.
