During the State Visit of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to the Republic of India, the India-Mongolia Business Forum was held in New Delhi, bringing together government officials, investors, and representatives from more than 150 enterprises of the two countries.<\/p>\n

The participants exchanged views on the current economic and business environment and explored long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation in\u00a0<\/b>trade, investment, mining, transport and logistics, renewable energy, infrastructure, food and agriculture, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, information technology, tourism, and construction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In their opening remarks,\u00a0President and Chairman of the Board of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI)<\/span>\u00a0Lkhagvajav Baatarjav\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0past Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Madhav Singhania<\/strong>\u00a0underscored the vital role of the private sector and wealth creators in advancing bilateral relations.\u00a0Deputy Prime Minister Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0<\/b>Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Mongolia Atul Malhari Gotsurve<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>also delivered greetings, highlighting that the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries have now reached the level of a\u00a0\u201c<\/b>Strategic Partnership\u201d<\/strong>,<\/b>\u00a0with growing cooperation in\u00a0trade, economy, energy, infrastructure, and education.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the forum, the MNCCI and the CII signed a\u00a0Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation.<\/strong>\u00a0Bilateral trade and economic exchanges have been increasing in recent years, reaching\u00a0over USD 110 million in 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mongolia mainly exports\u00a0animal hair, wool, and non-electric motor tools<\/strong>\u00a0to India, while importing\u00a0food products, household goods, prosthetics, analytical instruments, loaders, ceramic items, and garments.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>India\u2019s\u00a0GDP stands at USD 4.3 trillion<\/strong>,<\/b>\u00a0with\u00a0exports totaling USD 603 billion<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/b>imports at USD 682 billion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

India primarily exports\u00a0petroleum products, precious stones, and pharmaceuticals<\/strong>,<\/b>\u00a0while importing\u00a0crude oil, gold, silver, and electronic goods.<\/strong>\u00a0Its key economic sectors include\u00a0<\/b>agriculture, manufacturing, services, finance, and real estate.<\/strong><\/p>\n

India ranks\u00a0<\/b>fourth globally in coal reserves<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/b>fifth in mica and bauxite<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/b>sixth in lithium salt deposits<\/strong>,<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0seventh in iron and manganese ores<\/strong>\u00a0as of 2023.<\/p>\n
