PRESIDENT BATTULGA PLANTS TREES IN SCHOOL YARD
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga planted trees today in the yard of the 34th School of Ulaanbaatar on the occasion of the National Tree-Planting Day. The President completed secondary education in this school.
Director of the 34th School R.Ulziikhishig expressed gratitude to the President for making time to come to the school to plant trees and call pupils and teachers upon joining him, and promised to nurture every tree planted this day.
Wishing success to teachers and pupils of his school, President Battulga reminded the gathered of the importance of planting trees and looking after them in order to fight desertification. He quoted the statistical data, according to which only six million out of the total of nine million trees planted over the years since the National Day has been proclaimed and reminded once again that each person should nurture the trees he or she planted.
Present at the tree-planting event were Chief of Staff of the Office of the President Z.Enkhbold, over 100 students of senior high, representatives of parents and teachers, and some of the classmates of the President.
After seeding the trees, President Battulga visited the cabinet he used to study in.
