STATE TITLES CONFERRED UPON JUDOKAS D.SUMIYA AND G.ODBAYAR
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga has issued a decree on awarding Sumiya Dorjsuren the title “Hero of Labor of Mongolia” and Odbayar Ganbaatar the title “State Honored Athlete of Mongolia”, and presented the awards today.
Member of the National Judo league D.Sumiya won silver medal at the 31st Olympic Games took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016, gold medal at the World Judo Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, in 2017, bronze medal at the World Judo Championships 2015 in Astana, Kazakhstan, gold medal at the World University Championships 2015 in Gwangju, Republic of Korea, team silver medal at the World Judo Championships 2015 in Chelyabinsk, Russia, gold medal in the Asian Championships 2016 held in Tashkent, Uzebkistan, and became three times champion of World Sambo Championships 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Member of the National judo league G.Odbayar is placed in third in the IJF world ranking, won bronze medal at the World Judo Championships 2017, gold, silver and bronze medals at the Judo World Cups, gold, silver and bronze medals at the International Judo Grand Slams, silver medal at the Asian Games 2014, silver and bronze medals at the Asian Judo Championships, and team bronze medal at the World Judo Championships 2015.
