PRESIDENT RECEIVES REPRESENTATIVES OF UK PARLIAMENT
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga welcomed delegation headed by Lord Howard of Lympne of the House of Lords of the Parliament of the United Kingdom in the State Palace today. The delegation includes MPs John Grogan, David Morris, Adam Holloway, Wayne David and Baroness Scott of Needham Market.
Beginning the meeting, President Battulga mentioned the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1963 and noted, although the bilateral political ties are strong, trade turnover and overall economic interaction are somewhat deficient. The parliament delegation of the United Kingdom also agreed that the two countries need to pay more attention to deepening economic and commercial cooperation.
The sides further discussed the future perspectives of bilateral relations and other matters.
