PRESIDENT PRESENTS STATE ORDERS AND TITLES
On the occasion of the 2227th anniversary of the Statehood, 812th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, 107th anniversary of Restoration of Independence, 97th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, 29th anniversary of the Democratic Revolution, and the Mongolian traditional celebration of Lunar New Year – Tsagaan Sar, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a decree to grant the “Hero of Mongolia”, “People’s” and “Honored” titles, and state orders and medals. The awards were presented by the President on February 14th.
The award ceremony took place in the Chamber of Nine White Banners of the State Palace.
Chief-Coach of national judo league of Mongolia Baljinnyam Odvog was awarded the title of “Hero of Labor” of Mongolia. Formerly a great national wrestling champion O.Baljinnyam led successful career as a judo and sambo wrestler on international tatamis, trained numerous athletes who claimed success in the continent and the world, and brought development of Mongolian judo to a higher level.
“People’s Artist” title was conferred to Nanjid Dunjaa, who made a priceless contribution to establishing Mongolian school of national choreography, promoting dance studies, and training professional dancers in Mongolia.
Titles “People’s Doctor”, “Honored Environmental Worker”, “Honored Industrial Worker”, “Honored Construction Worker”, “Honored Trainer”, “Honored Actor”, “Honored Construction Worker”, “Honored Medical Doctor”, “Honored Herdsman”, “Honored Economist” and “Honored Artist” were conferred, as well as “Polar Star” Order and other state medals.
