PRESIDENT BATTULGA SENDS CONGRATULATORY LETTER TO MOON JAE-IN

President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga sent a letter to President of the Republic of Korea Mr. Moon Jae-in and congratulated on successful completion of the Summit of South and North Korean leaders.

The letter reads,

“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations for successful completion of the Summit of Leaders of South and North Koreas took place in Panmunjom on April 27th of 2018. This meeting is thanks to decisive and resolute steps taken by the Koreas, especially by the Republic of Korea.

The event was an important step toward maintaining peace and security not only in the Korean Peninsula, but in Northeast Asia, as well as the world, as it resulted in negotiations on launching intensive cooperation for improving relations between the Koreas, denuclearization of Korean Peninsula and bringing peace to the region.

The Comprehensive Partnership between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea has been triumphing in all sectors. I am willing to collaborate with Your Excellency Mr. President for upgrading the partnership. Mongolia will continue collaborating with North and South Koreas for ensuring peace and security and promoting cooperation in Northeast Asia, and solving the issues of Korean Peninsula through dialogues.

Your Excellency Mr. President, I wish success in Your initiative for bringing peace and prosperity in Northeast Asian region and for opening a new page in the history of the Korean Peninsula.

I wish Your Excellency health and happiness.”
