President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga sent a letter to His Excellency Mr. Kim Jong-un, Leader of Worker’s Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, on successful completion of summit of North and South Korean leaders.
The letter reads,
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency Chairman for successful completion of the Summit of Leaders of North and South Koreas took place in Panmunjom on April 27th of 2018. This meeting is thanks to decisive and resolute steps taken by the Koreas, especially by DPRK.
The event was an important step toward maintaining peace and security not only in the Korean Peninsula, but in Northeast Asia, as well as the world, as it resulted in negotiations on launching intensive cooperation for improving relations between the Koreas, denuclearization of Korean Peninsula and bringing peace to the region.
I believe that our two countries’ 70 years of friendship, foundation of which was strongly laid by generations of leaders of Mongolia and DPRK, will be consolidated even more in the future. Mongolia will continue collaborating with North and South Koreas for ensuring peace and security and promoting cooperation in Northeast Asia, and solving the issues of Korean Peninsula through dialogues.
Your Excellency Chairman, I wish success in Your dignified and responsible mission for constructing welfare for Your people, growth of the economy and for opening a new page in the history of the Korean Peninsula.
I wish Your Excellency Chairman health and happiness.”
