The Chairman of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the President of the United States of America successfully concluded their historic summit with the signing of a Joint Statement on June 12th in Singapore.
On the successful conclusion of the Singapore Summit, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga has sent a congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and the Workers’ Party of Korea.
President Battulga’s message reads:
“On behalf of the people of Mongolia and myself, I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations on the successful conclusion of the historic DPRK-U.S. Summit and the signing of the Joint Statement on June 12th in Singapore.
Mongolia considers the Singapore Summit as a landmark event not only for the DPRK-U.S. relations, but for the Northeast Asian region and the Korean Peninsula. This important accomplishment was made possible as a result of significant effort and patience on both sides.
I have no doubt that the agreement reached by the two parties to cooperate toward the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, build stable peace, and normalize the DPRK-U.S. relations will bring significant improvement to the peace and security of not only the Korean Peninsula, but the Northeast Asian region, and the rest of the world.
Mongolia is committed to broadening its traditionally friendly relations with the DPRK. We are ready to assist and cooperate with the corresponding countries in their dialogue aimed at building peace and stability in the Northeast Asian region and the Korean Peninsula.
I would like to wish success to Your Excellency’s efforts toward further developing your nation and building shared peace and development in the Korean Peninsula.
Let me also wish you good health and the people of the DPRK peace and prosperity.”
