PEOPLE’S WRITER PUNTSAGIIN BADARCH RECEIVES STATE PRIZE
On the occasion of the 2228th anniversary of the Statehood, the 813th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 108th anniversary of the Restoration of National Freedom and Independence, the 98th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, the 30th anniversary of the Democratic Revolution, and the Mongolian traditional celebration of Lunar New Year–Tsagaan Sar, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a decree on awarding the State Prize.
The decree says, “In recognition of his high contribution to the development of Mongolian literature, the art of poetry writing, and intellectual growth through his remarkable works that have been imprinted in the hearts of Mongolians and will be remembered for times to come, as well as his educative, aesthetic, cognitive, and enlightening endeavors, the State Prize of Mongolia is awarded to People’s Writer Puntsagiin Badarch, who composed the poetry work titled A Country of Nine Precious Gems which blended traditional symbolism with the natural landscape, history, culture, and livelihood of our country and promoted the unmatched value of freedom and independence and exquisite wonders of our nation to the people and the younger generations.”
After presenting the award, President Battulga gave congratulatory remarks whereas the State Prize Laureate recited verses of his poem.
