MEETING WITH JIM BRIDENSTINE, ADMINISTRATOR OF THE NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga visited the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and met its administrator Jim Bridenstine on August 1.
During the meeting, President Battulga recalled the historic event of March 22, 1981, when Mongolia sent J.Gurragchaa, the first Mongolian in space, on a mission aboard Soyuz spacecraft and expressed interest in cooperating with the NASA and training a Mongolian woman as astronaut. President Battulga also remarked on the wide opportunities for cooperating with the NASA in astronomy and geophysics and invited Mr. Bridenstine to visit Mongolia.
