AMBASSADOR OF GERMANY PRESENTS HIS LETTER OF CREDENCE
The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia, Mr. Jörn Rosenberg, presented his letter of credence to President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga today.
In this regard, President Battulga received Ambassador Rosenberg and expressed gratitude to the government of Germany for its consistent support to Mongolia’s reform and transition to democracy and market economy in the 1990s.
Moreover, President Battulga mentioned that Germany had also provided soft loan and assistance to Mongolia within the framework of bilateral development policy cooperation, while emphasizing that present-day Mongolia aspired to maintain fruitful economic relations and gave priority to manufacturing and exporting value-added final products.
President Battulga requested the Ambassador to pay close attention to the possibility of agricultural cooperation on the manufacturing of final products out of raw materials and cashmere using nanotechnology and biotechnology, as well as putting into action the previous negotiations on the establishment of an ecocity in Mongolia.
Ambassador Rosenberg highlighted the fact that he had applied for the position of Ambassador to Mongolia himself. The Ambassador said that he had always prioritized economic relations during the 30 years he worked as diplomat and expressed his readiness to closely consider the sectors and projects that the head of state gave emphasis to.
The Ambassador also expressed his readiness to convey the proposals and initiatives that were forwarded by the President of Mongolia to the Chancellor of Germany and remind her of the project on establishing a satellite and ecocity near Ulaanbaatar, based on the work of German architects and experts, during their upcoming meeting this month.
