POLAR STAR ORDER CONFERRED UPON JAPANESE CITIZEN
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a decree on awarding Mr. Ayumi Konishi, Special Senior Advisor to the President of the Asian Development Bank, with the state high decoration of Mongolia–the Order of the Polar Star, in recognition of his valuable contribution to the advancement of Mongolia-Asian Development Bank partnership in the economic sphere.
Chief of Staff to the President Z.Enkhbold conferred the award today.
Mr. Ayumi Konishi has worked on the Asian Development Bank’s Mongolia economic reform programs since 1991. Having played a key role in the approval of the bank’s 2017-2020 Country Partnership Strategy for Mongolia, he has made a significant contribution to the solution of important developmental issues confronted by Mongolia under economic hardships and the facilitation of conditions for achieving macroeconomic stability by means of developing a diversified economy that is based on sustainable and accessible growth.
