President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga arrived yesterday in New Delhi City of the Republic of India to pay a state visit to the country.
The head of state was formally welcomed by his Indian counterpart, President Ram Nath Kovind, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
During the welcoming ceremony, the national anthems of both countries were performed, and the heads of state made mutual introduction of the official delegates on both sides.
Afterwards, President Battulga greeted the members of the media covering the visit saying, “I am pleased to visit India as our two counties share a history of thousands of years and a spiritual bond.
The first President of Mongolia, P.Ochirbat, made a visit to India. Since then, there was a presidential visit paid by Mongolia in 2009 and a prime ministerial visit paid by India in 2015. This time, I am delighted to be paying a state visit to India. I am sure that these visits contribute to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in economy as well as other sectors.”
