MEETING WITH MONGOLISTS
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received today Mongolists who came to Mongolia to attend the international scientific conference themed Bogd Khaan 150: History, Culture, and Heritage, which was held under the auspices of the President of Mongolia.
Present at the meeting were Mongolists from Japan, the Russian Federation, the Federal Republic of Germany, and Poland, including academician D.Regdel, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, historian O.Batsaikhan, State Prize Laureate, Nakami Tatsuo, Professor Emeritus of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and Professor Udo B.Barkmann, Mongolist.
President Battulga mentioned that the birth anniversary of Bogd Khaan, leader of the 1911 Revolution of restoring national independence, was being celebrated for the first time in Mongolia and thanked the Mongolists for attending the international scientific conference which is significantly important in terms of clarifying the historical records. The President also requested the scholars to work towards promoting the output of their studies and research materials on the controversial subjects in the history of Mongolia among the younger generation and discussed this matter in depth with the Mongolists.
