PRESIDENT BATTULGA CONFERS STATE ORDERS AND MEDALS ON PEACEKEEPERS
Today, President of Mongolia and Commander-in-Chief of the Mongolian Armed Forces Khaltmaagiin Battulga worked at the General Staff of the Armed Forces. The head of state delivered opening remarks to a military training conference, and presented state orders and medals to the members of Mongolian contingent who have served in the peacekeeping missions in Afghanistan, and who took parts in the parade marking the delayed 75th anniversary of the Victory in World War II, held in the Russian Federation.
In accordance with the Presidential Decree, state orders and medals were conferred upon the members of 11th Rotation of Mongolian contingent, participated in the Force protection operation in cooperation with the German military forces, and 10th Rotation of Mongolian Contingent participated in the Force protection operation in cooperation with the US military forces under the Decisive Support operation, led by NATO, in Islamic State of Afghanistan.
The President was accompanied by Minister of Defense G.Saikhanbayar, Chief of the General Staff Major General D.Ganzorig, Director of the National Police Agency Colonel J.Bold, Presidential Advisor on Security and Defense Policy L.Bold, and other related officials, including leaders of the Defense Ministry, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Land forces detachment and Air forces detachment of the Armed Forces, the General Authority for Border Protection, and the National Emergency Management Agency.
