PRESIDENT RECEIVES M.HAYASHI AND DELEGATION FROM NATIONAL DIET OF JAPAN
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received today a delegation led by Motoo Hayashi, the chair of Japanese-Mongolian friendship league in the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Mongolia and Japan, remarked Mr. Hayashi in the beginning of this meeting. Mr.Hayashi, who is accompanied by a group of 58 delegates on the visit to Mongolia, expressed his gratitude for his second meeting with the President since the latter was inaugurated.
Mr. Hayashi asked President Battulga to pay more attention to the commissioning of the New Ulaanbaatar International Airport being constructed in Khushig Valley and the issue of the Korean peninsula. The chair of Japan-Mongolia Friendship League also highlighted that he is happy with the results of the friendly meeting of President Battulga and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, took place during the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russia.
While mentioning that President Battulga proposed the leaders of two countries on bringing Mongolian coal onto the global market, Mr. Hayashi shared that he deems the proposal can ultimately put into action and is not a subject of conflict of interests because Japan is the consumer, Russia, the transporter and Mongolia, the supplier. He also expressed his wish to broaden relations between Mongolia and Japan in all sectors ranging from economy and infrastructure to sports and culture.
Mongolia and Japan signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in construction of eastern railroad in 2015.
